Ableiges golf course

Golf d'Ableiges

Here's a great activity to do around Les Mureaux.

The Golf d'Ableiges in the heart of the Vexin region features an 18-hole course and a 9-hole course approved by the French Golf Federation, attracting a clientele of green-fees anxious not to linger too long, given their often hectic schedules.
The site is protected, as it is recognized as the first Gallo-Roman camp set up by Julius Caesar during his conquest of Lutetia. The air here is much more pleasant than in Paris, and you can see deer, birds and busy geese here and there on the 86-hectare site.

The two courses were designed by Jean Garaïalde and Englishman Jeremy Pern, as in Albi. The 18-hole course, called Les Étangs, is undulating, wooded and bordered by the Viosne, a small river that meanders through the foliage of century-old trees. The two courses complement each other perfectly. And no two holes are alike.

THE 18-HOLE "LES ÉTANGS" COURSE

"Les Étangs" is a Par 72, quite long: 6,340 m. The course wraps around a 15-hectare wood where deer and roe deer live. But don't let yourself be seduced: bunkers and water hazards are there to bring you back to reality. Technical, the Étangs course is a real challenge and will be particularly appreciated by experienced players. The most spectacular views are from the tee on 4 and the green on 6.

THE 9-HOLE "LE VEXIN" COURSE

"Le Vexin" is a 9-hole Par 33 of 2,145 m, more suitable for players who don't yet have sufficient mastery to tackle a large course. With its water feature, true Par 5 and relatively narrow greens, it will also suit golfers who want to play 9 holes quickly.
